What is Pickle Social Club?

Pickle Social Club is an indoor pickleball and entertainment destination in Hilliard, Ohio, serving Columbus and the surrounding communities. We combine pickleball, lessons, leagues, social events, food, drinks, and entertainment—all under one roof.

Where is Pickle Social Club located?

We’re located at 3622 Fishinger Blvd., Hilliard, OH 43026, at Mill Run.

What are your hours?

Pickle Social Club is open daily from 8:00 AM–8:00 PM, with select events and entertainment extending beyond regular court hours. Hours may vary on major holidays and for special events.

Do I need to be a member to visit?

No! You do not need to be a member to play, attend events, take a clinic, enjoy the bar and lounge, or hang out at Pickle Social Club. Some activities may have guest or registration fees.

Do I have to play pickleball to come to Pickle Social Club?

Not at all! Pickle Social Club is designed to be more than pickleball. Stop in for food and drinks, watch a game, attend karaoke or trivia, catch a watch party, or simply hang out with friends.

Is Pickle Social Club beginner-friendly?

Absolutely. All skill levels are welcome, including people who have never picked up a paddle. We offer beginner clinics, paddles to borrow, Open Play opportunities, and instruction to help you get started.

What amenities does Pickle Social Club have?

Our facility features 5 cushioned indoor pickleball courts, a dedicated practice court with a Lobster ball machine, push-button scoring, TVs throughout the club, bright court lighting, air conditioning, a full-service bar and lounge, food, and regularly scheduled events and entertainment.

How can I stay updated on events and specials?

PLAY PICKLEBALL FAQs

How do I reserve a pickleball court?

Courts can be reserved online through our court reservation system. Choose your preferred date and available time and complete your reservation online.

How much does it cost to reserve a court?

During off-peak hours from 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, a private court is $40 for one hour for up to 4 players. Up to 2 additional players may be added for $10 each.

During peak hours from 4:00–8:00 PM, a private court is $60 for one hour for up to 4 players. Up to 2 additional players may be added for $15 each.

How many people can play on one court reservation?

Standard court reservations include up to 4 players, with the option to add up to 2 additional players for an additional fee.

Can one person reserve a court?

Yes! Only one person needs to make the reservation. Invite your friends and build your group from there.

What is Open Play?

Open Play lets you register individually and play with other Pickle Social Club guests rather than reserving an entire private court. It's a great option for meeting other players and getting games in without organizing your own group.

Can I come by myself?

Absolutely. Open Play, clinics, leagues, round robins, and many of our social events are designed to make it easy to participate individually and meet other players.

What skill levels are welcome?

All levels—from complete beginners to experienced players—are welcome. Individual programs may be organized by skill level to create more enjoyable and competitive games.

Do I need my own pickleball paddle?

No. Paddles are available to borrow while playing at Pickle Social Club. Guests are responsible for paddles while they are using them and may be responsible for damage beyond normal use.

What shoes should I wear?

Players must wear appropriate non-marking athletic shoes on the courts. Tennis or court shoes are highly recommended. Flip-flops, sandals, open-toe shoes, heels, boots, and other inappropriate footwear are not permitted for court play.

Can I bring food or drinks onto the court?

Food is not permitted on the courts. Beverages should remain in designated areas or appropriate closed containers. Glass containers are never permitted on the courts.

Can I practice by myself?

Yes! We have a dedicated practice court featuring a Lobster pickleball ball machine, perfect for getting extra repetitions and working on consistency, footwork, returns, and shot placement.

LESSONS & CLINICS FAQs

Does Pickle Social Club offer pickleball lessons in Hilliard?

Yes! We offer pickleball clinics and personalized instruction for a range of skill levels, from first-time players to experienced players looking to improve their game.

I'm completely new to pickleball. Where should I start?

Start with Pickleball 101 – Beginner Clinic. You'll learn basic strokes, rules, scoring, and court positioning with guidance from a PPR Certified Coach. No experience is required, and paddles are available.

What is Pickleball 101?

Pickleball 101 is our beginner clinic designed for new players.

Mondays: 9:00–10:30 AM

Saturdays: 10:00–11:30 AM

Level: Beginner

Length: 1.5 hours

Cost: $15 per person

What is Pickleball 102?

Pickleball 102 is our Advanced Beginner Drill & Play Clinic for players who know the fundamentals and want to improve technique, consistency, court awareness, and pickleball IQ.

Wednesdays: 9:00–10:30 AM

Fridays: 10:00–11:30 AM

Sundays: 9:00–10:30 AM

Level: Advanced Beginner

Length: 1.5 hours

Cost: $20 per person

What is Pickleball 103?

Pickleball 103 is our Intermediate Drill & Play Clinic focused on technique, shot selection, positioning, strategy, and game play.

Tuesdays: 9:00–10:30 AM

Thursdays: 10:00–11:30 AM

Sundays: 10:30 AM–12:00 PM

Level: Intermediate

Length: 1.5 hours

Cost: $20 per person

Do the clinics teach the same thing every week?

No. Skills and drills can change from week to week, giving returning players new opportunities to practice and improve.

What is Cardio Pickleball?

Cardio Pickleball combines fast-paced pickleball drills with fitness-focused exercises for a fun, high-energy workout.

Thursdays & Saturdays: 9:00–10:00 AM

Level: All levels welcome

Length: 1 hour

Cost: $10 per person

Do you offer private pickleball lessons?

Yes. Private lessons provide personalized instruction based on your skill level, playing style, and goals. They're great for learning fundamentals, improving technique, developing strategy, or targeting specific areas of your game.

Are your instructors certified?

We offer instruction from PPR Certified Coaches as part of our clinic and coaching programming.

Do I need to bring a paddle to a clinic?

No. Paddles are available at no additional cost for players who need one.

LEAGUES, ROUND ROBINS & ORGANIZED PLAY FAQs

Does Pickle Social Club offer pickleball leagues?

Yes! We offer leagues and organized competitive and social play throughout the year. Formats, skill levels, schedules, and pricing vary by league.

What's a Round Robin?

A Round Robin is organized play in which participants rotate partners and/or opponents throughout the session. It's a great way to get multiple games in and play with different people.

Do I need a partner for a Round Robin?

Not necessarily. Many of our Round Robin formats use individual registration with rotating partners, so you can sign up on your own.

What is a Ladder League?

A Ladder League organizes players based on results and performance, allowing participants to move throughout the standings over the course of the league. Specific formats may include individual or partner-based registration.

Do I need to know my DUPR rating?

Not for every event. When an event or league has a specific rating requirement, it will be included in the event description.

What kinds of events does Pickle Social Club host?

We host much more than traditional pickleball play. Programming may include leagues, clinics, Round Robins, Cardio Pickleball, karaoke, trivia, watch parties, Glow Pickleball, singles events, Courtside Cinema, tastings, special exhibitions, and other social events.

Where can I see upcoming events?

Do I need to register for events in advance?

Registration requirements vary. Because some events and clinics have limited capacity, we recommend registering ahead of time whenever registration is available.

Do I need to play pickleball to attend an event?

No! Many of our social events are designed for players and non-players.

Do you have events for beginners?

Yes. Many activities welcome beginners, and each event listing identifies the appropriate skill level when applicable.

Does Pickle Social Club host watch parties?

Yes. With TVs throughout the club and a large viewing setup, we host select sports watch parties and other viewing events throughout the year.

Do you have recurring events?

Yes. Our calendar includes recurring and rotating events throughout the week and month. Check the Events page for the current schedule.

Can I host a birthday party at Pickle Social Club?

Yes! Pickle Social Club is a great venue for birthdays, celebrations, reunions, friend gatherings, and other private events.

What can a private event include?

Depending on your event, we can combine pickleball, reserved space, food, drinks, and socializing to create an experience around your group.

Do my guests need to know how to play pickleball?

No. Pickleball is easy for beginners to pick up, making private events fun even when your group includes a mix of experienced players and first-timers.

Can I reserve courts and lounge space?

Private-event options can include pickleball court and lounge/social space. Tell us about your group and event needs when submitting an inquiry so we can help determine the best setup.

What kinds of private events can you host?

Birthday parties, celebrations, reunions, friend gatherings, social groups, holiday parties, and other special occasions are all great fits.

How do I book a private event?

Submit the Private Event inquiry form on our Events page with your contact information, event type, preferred date, and event details. Our team will follow up to discuss availability and options.

Does Pickle Social Club host corporate events in Columbus?

Yes! Our Hilliard location is available for corporate outings, employee events, team-building activities, client entertainment, holiday parties, company celebrations, and other group events.

Why choose pickleball for a corporate team-building event?

Pickleball is social, approachable, and easy for beginners to learn, allowing coworkers with different experience and athletic ability to participate together.

Can our corporate event include food and drinks?

Does Pickle Social Club have a bar?

Yes! We have a full-service bar and lounge serving a selection of beer, cocktails, and other beverages.

Can I come in just for drinks?

Absolutely. You don't have to reserve a court or play pickleball to enjoy the social side of Pickle Social Club.

Is food available?

Yes. Food is available at the club, with offerings and options that may vary by day, event, or promotion.

Can I eat while watching pickleball?

Yes, in designated food and lounge areas. Food is not permitted directly on the pickleball courts.

Can I bring outside alcohol?

No. Outside alcohol is prohibited. Alcohol purchased at Pickle Social Club must remain within permitted areas.

Can I bring alcohol onto the court?

Alcohol and other beverages must follow club rules and remain in appropriate areas or containers. Glass is strictly prohibited on the courts.

Do you offer drink specials?

Are your pickleball courts indoors?

Yes. Pickle Social Club features 5 cushioned indoor pickleball courts, allowing you to play comfortably regardless of rain, heat, or Ohio weather.

Is the facility air-conditioned?

Yes! Our indoor facility is air-conditioned.

How many courts do you have?

We have 5 full cushioned pickleball courts plus 1 dedicated practice court.

Do you have a pickleball ball machine?

Yes. Our practice court features a Lobster ball machine for individual practice and skill development.

Do your courts have scoring systems?

Yes. Our courts feature push-button scoring.

Are there TVs?

Yes. TVs are positioned throughout the club, making it easy to keep up with games and entertainment while you're here.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable athletic clothing appropriate for playing pickleball. Players are required to wear a top and bottom while participating.

What shoes are allowed on the courts?

Non-marking athletic footwear is required. Court or tennis shoes are strongly recommended. Flip-flops, sandals, open-toe shoes, heels, boots, and inappropriate street footwear are not permitted for court play.

Are children allowed?

Age requirements can vary depending on the activity or event. Check individual event descriptions for any specific age restrictions.

FIRST-TIME VISITOR FAQs

I've never played pickleball. Can I really come by myself?

Yes! You absolutely do not need to arrive with a group or already know how to play. A beginner clinic is a great place to start, and Open Play and organized events make it easy to meet other players.

What should I bring for my first visit?

Bring comfortable athletic clothing, appropriate non-marking court shoes, and a water bottle. If you don't own a paddle yet, we've got you covered.

Should I take a lesson before playing?

It's not required. If you're completely new and want to learn the fundamentals before jumping into games, Pickleball 101 is an excellent starting point.

What if I don't know my skill level?

That's okay. Start with a beginner clinic or talk with our team, and we'll help point you toward the program that makes the most sense for you.

Is Pickle Social Club competitive or social?

Both! You can come to improve your game, compete, exercise, meet people, enjoy food and drinks, or simply have fun. That's the whole idea behind Pickle Social Club.
